If I choose processors, Ryzen processors, Ryzen 9 desktop processors and 5900X it shows a download for Ryzen Master. I choose chipsets, socket AM4 and X570 and it shows AMD chipset drivers version 3.10.08.506. ĪMD's manual driver selection shows chipsets and processors in the first drop down box. I right clicked on one of them and went to the driver tab and it said driver 1.546 with a date of. I went to device manager and clicked on processor and it brought up the 24 entries for the 5900X. Does this mean if I am running an AMD processor (5900X) and a 3080 GPU I shouldn't be installing a new driver?

The last part says AMD processors WITH Radeon graphics. "For use with systems running Microsoft® Windows® 7 or 10 AND equipped with AMD Radeon™ graphics, AMD Radeon Pro graphics, or AMD processors with Radeon graphics. I went to AMD's support site and it said the following: With both of these fixes, AMD-powered systems should deliver expected performance when running Windows 11.First, I am not sure exactly what a chipset driver updates. ◦ For AMD processors with the "Zen+" or "Zen 2" architectures: Systems configured with AMD Chipset Driver 3.10.08.506 (or newer) should have the AMD Ryzen™ Balanced power plan selected and active in the Control Panel > Power Options interface. ◦ For AMD processors with the "Zen 3" architecture: Systems configured with AMD Chipset Driver 3.10.08.506 (or newer) should report version 7.0.3.5 (or newer) for the entry in the Windows 11 Provisioning Packages interface. ◦ Systems with this update applied will report AMD Chipset Software 3.10.08.506 (or newer) within the Apps & Features interface of Windows 11. ◦ An AMD Chipset Driver package is now available to address this issue under version 3.10.08.506.

◦ Performance impact may be more detectable in >8-core processors above 65W TDP. ◦ Applications sensitive to the performance of one or a few CPU threads may exhibit reduced performance. Issue 2: UEFI CPPC2 ("preferred core") may not preferentially schedule threads on a processor's fastest core.

◦ Systems with this update applied will enumerate KB5006746 in the Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Installed Updates interface. ◦ More information on downloading and installing this update can be obtained under Microsoft article KB5006746. ◦ A Windows 11 software update is now available to address this issue under Microsoft Knowledgebase ID 5006746. ◦ Estimated performance impact of 3-5% in affected applications, with possible outliers in some games. ◦ Applications sensitive to memory subsystem access time may be impacted. Issue 1: Measured and functional 元 cache latency may increase for some applications.
