That won't change until the $$$ stops flowing. X DiVE will continue to fulfill Capcom's ambitions of making their stake in the mobile market, largely abroad. Literally, all of X DiVE rests in the hands of Capcom Taiwan who lack the resources to produce a "real Mega Man game". And it's true: just because X DiVE is doing well doesn't detract from what other teams are doing. and it's signficantly increasing Capcom's income within the mobile sphere. Second, X DiVE continues to thrive because it's making money. The receipts are all in the breached Capcom data from November 2020. That game has been in development for a long period of time with a significantly larger budget to boot. We know for certain Taisen is (at least) one new, non-mobile title. More time is being spent on developing new titles than pushing one out every year. Deleteįirst, we're in the midst of a new evergreeen strategy for the franchise. Seems these days, many like going small, small screens, small releases, small standards for certain media being so common.Īnyways, I think many here and I have every right complain and rant like I did in this post because I'm sure I'm not alone in this feeling, and I'm pretty sure Shrap agrees with me on this rant, at least with a big chunk of what I said. Sooner or later though, dive will run out of ideas when confined to just dive, though considering how long shows like Simpsons has run, it may be a very long time. I would not be surprised if 1 year from now, it is the same old (just dive posts and merch). Should we just do dive for 10 more years? that only encourages more dive and nothing else they keep on milking it. Really, does dive please most fans these days now? I see people all over here praising dive in comments on some threads and new posts. Wow, 3 years and still dive this, dive that. Nothing lasts forever though, as I tell people.

What is there to celebrate lately? Until they make another game, and I don't mean mobile side games that have no connection to canon that is low budget, it may as well be considered a dead series or on a 2nd long hiatus. May as well not bother with celebrating MM yearly anniversaries. Now all they do now is dive and toys and other one trick ponies.īut I thought MM was their flagship and main series. I guess just selling well does not mean they have a desire to make more sequels.

People are often such flakes that can't keep their word. So much for their claim that an X9 would depend on how well MMM11 and X collections sold (they sold well).
